Our family business began its commercial journey in the 1870s in Bitlis, a city located in the eastern region of Turkey, with imports and exports. We achieved significant momentum by importing kerosene, lumber, and hardware products from Russia and Georgia, while exporting spices. In the following years, our family established a shoe workshop in Bitlis, becoming one of the most prominent footwear manufacturers of the era, exporting shoes to various regions from Iran to Aleppo. During the war, when Bitlis was occupied, the second generation of our family, led by our grandfather Sevket NAKISCI, moved to Diyarbakır, where he became one of the leading traders of food and livestock salt.

The third generation, led by our father Nurettin NAKISCI, took the family business to new heights with his investments. The fourth generation has continued to expand the company, adding sectors that will carry the group into the 21st century, including tourism, healthcare services, construction materials, and technology-focused start-up investments, alongside the family’s traditional food and export businesses.
